Textile Design is just another way for students to break into the Fashion world. Textiles refer to the material used for fashions -- fabric, leather, even plastic. For this project, we studied the textiles of UK fashion designer Zandra Rhodes.
For this project, students drew different patterns and then chose the best design to duplicate on a piece of transparency paper. The transparency was then photocopied and taped together to create the "negative."
I originally purchased InkoDye to make this happen, but it turned out to be a dud. Luckily Ms. Djordjevic had some leftover cyanotype solution, which did the trick!
