Web Design
Web Design is a full year class open to all students. Students learn about the fundamentals of web design coding and layout while researching and applying the usability principles.
CSS rules can be made in a separate file, but we will place the CSS rules within the head using a <style> tag. See how it works below and then move on to practice 3 with CSS. The CSS is written in dark blue. <!doctype html> <html> <head> <style> body { background-color: linen; } h1 { color: #a49dc8; margin-left: 40px; } </style> </head> <body> </body> <html> Directions: Create a website describing your favorite food. 1) In the <head>: Title is “My Favorite Food" Key words: Foods, Yummy, Favorite foods Set the Viewport Set the author to your name 2) Headline <h1>: “[your name]’s Favorite Food” 3) Subheadline <h2>: that says the name of your favorite food, ie: Baklava or Pad Thai. 4) Paragraph <p>: Two short paragraphs describing your favorite food. Every time you name the food, bold it. Create a link somewhere in your paragraphs that links to a website that has to do with your food (ie its Wikipedia page or something like that). 5) <hr> horizontal rule after the paragraphs. 6) <img src>: 2 images of the food. Change the width to 400px and give them alternate text. 7) Change the CSS. Look up the CSS codes here.
