Caileigh Hickox Everybody loves music. Who has gotten through a car ride with their parents as kids without using headphones? Do they still use headphones though? Haven't we gotten to headphone earplant yet? :) Regardless of how we listen to music, it is constantly around us. I hear stories about how my students go to concerts and love every moment of it. I consistently see students in study hall and in the hallways bopping along to their own music. I myself can be seen singing along to some tunes in the morning car ride. For me, music helps me to create. I love to put on a Pandora station and just paint for hours on end. Take a look at some of the art created by the web design students. They were asked to choose their favorite band or musician. They learned about texture and the illusion of 3-dimensionality to create depth. We also learned some new techniques in Photoshop. After all was said and done, I find that these students really wowed me with these home pages. I told each and every student how far their designs had come since the beginning of the school year. A note about the latin that you see on these pages: Lorem Ipsum is used as placeholder text in graphic and web design. When a designer doesn't have copy text, he or she uses lorem ipsum. It also is used because sometimes meaningful text can distract from the beauty of a design. Sometimes I require students to write content for their designs; in this project, however, we utilized lorem ipsum.
