Infographics

Background
An infographic (Information Graphic) is a visual representation of information. It is a modern new way to relate information to today's advertising. Rather than reading an article on recycling, an infographic could be used in its place. Websites like http://infogr.am/ will allow you to make infographics, but they are not as innovative as ones designed by professional designers.

Assignment
Your assignment is to create an infographic based upon a cause. Some examples include: recycling, cancer, the beef industry, racisim, sexism, etc. Check out the examples below.

Steps

1. Decide on your topic. Choose 3 topics in case one falls flat
2. Make a list of imagery that you can use
3. Collect the data (make sure to keep all of your sources)
4. Draw a sketch
5. We will talk about the sketches in class
6. Design this in Illustrator
7. Share it! (Facebook, Twitter, Google, Snapchat, anything). The person who's image has gone most "viral" will get an A+ and will win a prize.
