Digital Publishing works much like a professional design firm. Students will work in the areas of design, marketing, business, and fashion to create real-world projects for clients.

Background
Every year Mr. Middleton asks the art department to create the playbill for the annual musical. 

Assignment
Your assignment is to create the Playbill for MARY POPPINS using vector imagery. The winner of this will have to also design a poster, a sign, and other media to be printed throughout Burlington. Your midterm must also include a video explaining your process, complete with your sketch, multiple screenshots of your designing (cmd+shft+4), and the final design. You will critique your own design on the video.

Specs
  • This must be an iconic image evocative of the musical
  • You must use a vector drawing, including highlights and shadows
  • Size: 5.5" X 8.5" in Illustrator

Steps
  • Download Adobe Voice on your iPad. Sign up for a free account using your personal email.
  • Import your sketch, moodboard, at least 3 screenshots, and your final design. Record your voice for each image.
  • ***Be sure to plan your video beforehand. Write down a script, but don't make it sound like you are reading a script. 
  • ***Record your video in a QUIET location
  • Submit a jpeg of the final design and your Adobe Voice video.
