Due Date:
Period 2: Tuesday, January 19
Period 5: Thursday, January 21
Period 7: Friday, January 22

Background
Social media is a HUGE part of marketing and promotion. It is no longer an option to stay out of social media; it's vital to a business's success. How do you think a photographer might use social media to promote her business?

Project Description
Your assignment is to create digital content for a marketing campaign. Your campaign will promote a cause dear to your heart. For example, take a look at the campaign above, what does it say to you?

Steps
  1. Read How to promote on social media & 7 Neglected ways to promote on social media.
  2. Create a moodboard for your event.
  3. Download the Canva app on your iPad or go to Canva.com on your desktop. You must sign up for a free account.
  4. On Canva, create the following content for your event (5 pieces): Poster, Pinterest Graphic, Twitter Post, Facebook Event, Instagram post. They should use similar imagery and fonts.
  5. Download Adobe Voice on your iPad.
  6. Using Adobe Voice, insert all of your content, your mood board, and describe how to promote content on social media. Use some of the key words below.
  7. In Adobe Voice, export your video to the camera roll (camera icon).
  8. Upload it into Google Classroom before the midyear exam.

How to turn in your midterm
  • Submit your Adobe Voice video into classroom.
  • Post your video onto your blog on the artwork page.
  • Later, you will print your campaign on 13x19 paper (this may be done during term 3)

Things to Remember
  1. All of your content should be consistent (fonts, images, proportions)
  2. Use high quality imagery that is royalty free.
  3. Write down your script but don't make it sound like you're reading a script.
  4. Record your voice in a quiet area. There should be no outside noise. Keep each voice recording no less than 15-20 seconds.
  5. Insert appropriate background music into your recording. This can be done in the app.

Grading Criteria
  • TECHNICAL QUALITY: Images are high quality and royalty free, no distortions, appropriate usage of the apps
  • DESIGN: Your designs are well thought out, are aesthetically pleasing, and utilize the elements and principles.
  • CREATIVITY: How have you made your campaign creative and unique?
  • INFORMATION: Describe how each piece of content is helpful in promoting your event. Be sure you use key words.

Key Words
Hashtags, SEO, [any of the elements & principles], marketing, promotion/promote, publish, share, visuals, platform, followers, pins, tweets, updates, engage, blogging

**A note about midyears: it is your responsibility to attend the midyear exam time and submit the assignment by that time. If you must miss the midyear due to illness, you must email me before the start of the exam, not afterwards. Midyears that are not turned in by the exam date will be a 0.
