Snapchat Geofilters

Geofilters are a fun way to share where you are through filter overlays. They are specific to neighborhoods and special locations. While the unique designs of Geofilters will change place-to-place, you can find them in a few big cities around the world to start.

Things to consider:

• Read through the steps here

• All artwork must be original. This means no photographs or clipart.
• Think about what makes the location or event special.
• Check out this instagram account that uploads geofilters.

Specs:

• RGB
• Use the template from the Geofilter tips from Snapchat.
• The image should have a width of 1080 pixels and a height of 1920 pixels (use the template)
• Leave a buffer zone of 149 pixels at the top and bottom of your image.
• Avoid borders - partial borders are okay, but full borders are a no-no.
• In Drive, submit the transparent png AND also add an image to the geofilter for an example.
• Export as a transparent png! This is very important. It must be transparent so the user's photo can be seen. Click here to submit the file to Snapchat.
